Pipedrive is where the truth about your sales lives: which deals are open, which were won, and how much each one is worth. Google Ads, on its own, can't see any of that — it only knows someone clicked an ad and submitted a form. PipeValue bridges the gap. It reads the value of each deal in Pipedrive and feeds that number back into Google Ads, matched to the original ad click, so the platform finally understands the difference between a €500 enquiry and a €40,000 contract.

Why it matters

Out of the box, Google Ads treats every lead as one identical "conversion." A casual browser who will never buy and a serious enterprise buyer look exactly the same to the algorithm — so it cheerfully spends more money finding more casual browsers, because they're cheaper to acquire. That's the hidden tax on most lead-gen accounts: you optimise for the volume of form-fills, then wonder why pipeline quality keeps drifting down.

Pipedrive already knows which deals are worth chasing. When you pass that knowledge into Google, Smart Bidding finally has something meaningful to aim at. Instead of telling Google "get me 100 cheap leads," you're telling it "go find more deals worth €40,000." That single change is the heart of value-based bidding, and it's the quickest way to make the same ad budget produce more closed revenue without lifting your spend.

What data flows — and your privacy

PipeValue only moves the small amount of information Google needs to credit the right value to the right campaign. Nothing more leaves Pipedrive. In practice, that's four things:

  • Deal value. The euro amount on the Pipedrive deal — either the actual figure or an expected value you define — so a big deal carries more weight than a small one.
  • Won stage. The signal that a deal reached "won" (or whichever pipeline stage you choose to count), so Google learns from the leads that actually convert.
  • Gclid match. The Google click identifier, when it's available, that ties a deal back to the exact ad click that created it.
  • Hashed email. The lead's email address, scrambled into an irreversible hash before it ever reaches Google, used to match the conversion when no gclid is present.

On privacy: personal details are hashed before they leave our systems, in line with Google's matching requirements, so Google never receives a readable email address. PipeValue is built and hosted in the EU, you grant access through Pipedrive's official OAuth screen, and you can switch the connection off at any time from inside Pipedrive. We read only the fields needed to calculate and send value — never your notes, emails, or the rest of your CRM.

How it works

There's no engineering project hiding behind this. It comes down to four plain steps:

  1. Connect Pipedrive in one click. You authorise PipeValue through Pipedrive's official OAuth screen — no API keys to copy and paste, no developer to pull in. We get read access to the deal fields we need and nothing else.
  2. Map what a deal is worth. You decide how value is calculated: send the deal value straight from Pipedrive, use a fixed amount per won deal, or vary it by pipeline stage so a deal counts for more as it advances. You stay in control of every number.
  3. Connect Google Ads. You OAuth your Google Ads account, and PipeValue sets up the plumbing for you — Enhanced Conversions for Leads plus an offline conversion import. That's the mechanism that feeds Smart Bidding strategies like target ROAS and Maximise conversion value.
  4. Run shadow, then go live. We start in a shadow mode so you can see the values that would be sent and check they look right, before flipping the switch to live. Once you're happy, real deal values flow to Google automatically as your pipeline moves.

FAQ

Do I need to set up Google offline conversions myself?
No. PipeValue does the Google setup for you. After you connect your Google Ads account, we create the right conversion action and feed it automatically — using Enhanced Conversions for Leads and an offline conversion import behind the scenes. You never touch a gclid spreadsheet or build an upload schedule by hand.

Which Pipedrive field is used for the value?
By default we read the deal value on each deal, but you choose. You can send the actual deal amount, a fixed figure per won deal, or a value that changes as a deal moves through your pipeline stages. The numbers always stay under your control inside PipeValue.

What if a lead has no gclid?
You're still covered. PipeValue uses Enhanced Conversions for Leads, which matches a deal back to its Google campaign using the hashed email captured when the form was submitted. If a gclid is present we'll use it too, but you don't have to store or pass click IDs yourself.

Is my Pipedrive data safe?
Yes. PipeValue only reads the fields it needs to calculate and send a deal's value, and any personal identifier such as an email is hashed before it ever reaches Google.
